Your Holiday Itinerary
Board your luxury coach and travel by early ferry to the UK and begin your visit to the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds. The group will be staying in Stratford for the four nights.
This morning we will explore Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. During the day we will visit the homes of Shakespeare’s life, including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Shakespeare’s Birthplace. In the afternoon, enjoy a cruise aboard one of the traditional Edwardian passenger launches, cruising downstream past the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Holy Trinity Church (the site of Shakespeare’s tomb).
Today we will have a guided day tour through the villages and small market towns of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, which includes areas such as Shipston-on-Stour, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and the ‘Little Venice’ of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water.
After a leisurely breakfast we will visit the spectacular Blenheim Palace. Built in the early 1700s, this stunning country house is home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and was originally a gift from Queen Anne to John Churchill, the 1st Duke of Marlborough. In 1987 it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a day to explore the palace, park and gardens of this beautiful property.
After a relaxing and scenic few days, we will board the coach one last time and make our journey back to Ireland by ferry.
