Your Holiday Itinerary
Board your luxury coach and start your journey. Travel by ferry to the UK and overnight in Chester.
After a leisurely breakfast we depart Chester and begin the journey across the UK towards Harwich. On our way we visit Chatsworth House, a popular film location and stately home with exquisite gardens that has been passed down through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. In the evening we will board the overnight ferry from Harwich to Holland.
Wake up on the ferry and dock at the Hook of Holland. From there we make our way to Keukenhof Flower Park, the largest flower garden in the world in a park that covers 32 hectares. Later in the afternoon check in at your hotel, where we will be stating for the next three nights.
This morning we travel to nearby Amsterdam and meet our guide for a 2-hour tour of this beautiful, vibrant and modern city. In the afternoon, see the city by boat as we cruise along the canal.
Today the group will attend the Floriade international exhibition. Floriade, the World’s Fair of horticultural shows, is the largest public event in the Netherlands and takes place only once every 10 years. The Expo will take place in Almere, a modern “garden city” near Amsterdam that was built on land reclaimed from the sea, and the theme of the show will be “Growing Green Cities”
This morning the group will visit Zaanse Schans Traditional Dutch Village. The village is a living and working museum of traditional Dutch life, with clog and cheese making and of course the iconic Dutch windmills. Later in the afternoon, the group will have time to explore Rotterdam and visit the famous Markthal indoor market. That night we will be taking the overnight ferry back to Harwich, UK.
This morning we arrive into Harwich port and on our return to Chester we will stop off in Stoke–on Trent, known for its pottery industry, and visit the World of Wedgewood pottery museum. Overnight in Chester
