After lunch enjoy a drive through the rolling hills and pretty villages that make the Cotswolds so famous.
This morning we travel to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. During the day we will visit the homes of Shakespeare’s life, including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Mary Arden’s Farm, Halls Croft and Shakespeare’s New Place. The whole town is steeped in history, and today the group will have free time to explore the homes best associated with Shakespeare and his family.
This morning our next visit will be to Warwick Castle, rated amongst the top attractions in the Cotswolds. Experience over 1,100 years of history, magic and myth at this fortress that rises from the banks of the River Avon. The Castle has been preserved, with state rooms, towers and dungeons all to be explored. This afternoon we will visit Bourton-on-the-Water, regularly voted as one of the prettiest villages in England and known as the Venice of the Cotswolds.
After a relaxing and scenic few days, we will load the coach one last time and make our journey back to Ireland by ferry.
